How to Fly Cheaply

Skyscanner is highly recommended — just enter your dates and it will instantly show you the cheapest available flights.
As long as you have internet access and a credit card, you can book flights from anywhere. I even booked one from Iran.
For example, when flying from Japan to Europe, stopping once in Dubai can sometimes make the total fare much cheaper.
When flying from Iran to Thailand, adding a Dubai stop made it about 30,000 yen cheaper.
Dubai has many low-cost carriers, which makes it a great hub.
However, not all route options appear on booking sites, so it’s wise to ask other travelers for tips and search manually for different routes.
※Prices vary depending on the season.
Traveling Around Expensive Europe by Bus

Eurolines buses are recommended.
Unlike airplanes, buses stop in city centers, making transportation much easier.
There are 1-month / 2-week unlimited ride passes and discounts for seniors, students, and travelers under 25. Information changes often, so check before buying.
Prices vary by season, and summer (high season) is the most expensive.
Things to Watch Out for When Taking Long-Distance Buses

Be extremely cautious about theft.
If the driver stores your large luggage under the bus, never put valuables inside it.
Buses are often very cold, and a thin blanket won’t be enough. A sleeping bag is very useful.
It also gives a sense of comfort and security, which helps with mental stability.
People assume buses are always cheaper, but sometimes trains are cheaper.
Some countries even have free trains, so look into that as well.
If you want to travel Europe by train, the Eurail Pass is recommended. It allows unlimited rides during the validity period.
Countries Where Buses Are Hard to Use

Some countries don’t clearly mark bus stops. It may be cheap, but if you board the wrong one, you could end up somewhere far away. In such cases, take a taxi — it’s still cheaper than Japan.
However, taxis may overcharge, so use Uber. The price is set in advance. If the driver later messages asking for “extra money,” decline and change drivers.
